Understanding the Current Ratio

The Current Ratio measures a company’s ability to pay short-term obligations with short-term assets.

Current Ratio = Current Assets ÷ Current Liabilities

Example: If a company has 500,000 in current assets and 250,000 in current liabilities, the ratio is 2.0 — showing strong liquidity.
